Public universities charge low national tuition (a few hundred euros), though non-EU students can face differentiated fees - but the large majority of universities exempt them. Écoles d’ingénieurs accredited by the CTI award the diplôme d’ingénieur, which carries the grade de Master. French institutions often rank below their real strength because the grande-école/université split divides resources.
